: CONSUMER PROTECTION – REVISION NOTES
Simple Meaning: A person who buys goods or services for personal use and pays consideration.
- ✔ Includes: Offline/Online purchase, Teleshopping, Direct selling.
- ❌ Not included: Buying for resale or commercial purposes.

Replaced the 1986 Act to protect against unfair trade practices (Adulteration, Misleading ads, Overcharging).
