📋 CLASS XI AND XII-MASTER GUIDE: BUSINESS STUDIES PROJECT WORK

🎯 Why Project Work?

Project work is designed to help students understand the framework within which a business operates and its interaction with the social, economic, technological, and legal environment. It empowers students to relate textbook concepts to real-world surroundings, making studies clear and contextual.

🛠️ Project File Submission Requirements

Presentation Standards

  • The project must be strictly Handwritten.
  • Presented in a neat folder.
  • Class XII projects should be 25 to 30 pages long.
  • Include relevant photographs and news clippings.

Sequential Order of Pages

  1. Cover Page: Title, Student Info, School, and Year.
  2. List of Contents
  3. Acknowledgements & Preface.
  4. Introduction & Planning.
  5. Observations, Findings & Conclusions.
📘 CLASS XI: Foundations of Business (Choose ONE)

Students are required to take any one topic during the academic session.

1. Field Visit: Visit a business unit (Industry, Mall, or Wholesale market) to observe operational environments and relate them to text knowledge.
2. Case Study on a Product: Research products like Apples from Kashmir or Mangoes from Bihar/U.P. to analyze price fluctuations across seasons.
3. Aids to Trade: Gathering information on one aid, such as Insurance. Study its history, principles, and types.
4. Import/Export Procedure: Identify a product in your city and document the actual steps involved in executing trade.
👨‍🏫 CLASS XII: Principles & Functions (Choose ONE)

Students must select one topic for the entire year.

1. Elements of Business Environment

Analyze changes in packaging (e.g., milk bottles to tetra-packs), the changing role of women in the past 25 years, or child labour laws.

2. Principles of Management

Visit a departmental store or industrial unit to observe the application of Fayol’s 14 Principles or Taylor’s Scientific Techniques.

3. Stock Exchange

Create an imaginary portfolio of ₹50,000 across 5 companies. Track starting and closing prices over 20 working days to calculate profit/loss.

4. Marketing

Select a product (e.g., toothpaste, soap, mobile) and develop a plan covering the 4Ps of Marketing Mix: Product, Price, Place, and Promotion.
